I can remember at a young age, probably 3 or 4, driving around Nashville where I live and seeing homeless people on the streets. I remember being confused as to why they were out there and not in their house. My mom and dad say that I would often times cry because I was so sad for them. To this day, I find myself still thinking alot about the less fortunate and in particular the homeless population.
This past Christmas season I came up with an idea to try and "cover" or "blanket" the homeless. I want to do what I can in whatever small or big way possible to help those people that live on the streets to stay warm during the cold months.
With that said, I want to begin what I am going to call "Covering America". Anytime anyone joins Club Luke, $1 will go to the foundation to buy blankets for homeless during winter months here in Nashville. My hope is that this will eventually spread nationwide to all the major cities in America.
Please help me in caring for those who are homeless in America.
Thanks and God Bless
Luke
